So, I am not as stressed now that I have turned in my big research
paper! I feel very relieved to have turned it in today. Hopefully, I
will get a good grade on it because it is over 50% of my six weeks
grade! Oh well, I am not too stressed about the grade because I know
that there is nothing else I can do. So.......I am trying to figure out
what to do for my b-day because it is Wed. lol. It feels like I should
do something big since I will be 18, but at the same time, I don't
really feel like doing anythinig. Whatever, it doesn't really matter in
the grand scheme of things. Well, I hope to see most of you at church
tonight to see Shodankeh Johnson speak. It should be awesome. Love ya,
Rachel.
Right now, I just need prayers. Also, if you could be praying for Bryan as well. We both have a lot of things going on right now, and we are having trouble staying focused on God in our individual lives which is spilling into our relationship with each other. We really appreciate all the prayers. I love you all, and I thank you for always being there even now with everything being different. If any of you ever need anything from me, I am here for you. Just let me know. -Rachel

Sunday, January 22, 2006

Hey guys!!! Well, I know it has been a long time since I have posted, but I just haven't felt inspired enough to jam posting on Xanga into my busy schedule. I guess it just isn't that important! Lol. Anyways, I know that many of you won't care, but tonight, Bryan and I had the most fun we have ever had together. We actually went on a real date opposed to our typical nights spent at our parents' houses. Tonight, I drove to his house and ate dinner with him and his dad because after dinner, we needed to walk their dog for his mom. So on the walk, we just talked and joked around with each other while we waited for Abby to take care of her business...lol. Then, we drove to Sonic and Taco Bell (our fav. fast food places!) and treated ourselves to some small snacks. Even though we had plenty of time, we went ahead and drove to the Jackson Heights theatre while snacking. I kept making really bad jokes the whole way, and Bryan made fun of me for every one of them! Tonight, we even played our stupid little game of "how many songs on the ipod can Bryan name correctly after a few seconds". To anyone else, it would seem dumb, but we really enjoy the game; therefore, we played it. At the theatre, we decided to watch "Fun with Dick and Jane". Going in, we were expecting a light and fun movie that had every potential aspect of being completely stupid (and yes, Bryan was actually ok with that!). However, the movie turned out to be fairly good. We both thoroughly enjoyed the movie as well as each others company. Then we went back to his house so I could drive my car home. Lol....when I type out the basic events of the night, it really doesn't sound like that much fun. But when I think about tonight, I realize that I had a blast! To me, that is all that matters. Sorry for a post that was irrelevant to anyone other than Bryan and I, but this is my site so I decided to share my night! I love you all, Rachel King
Sunday, January 01, 2006

Hey Guys!!! Sorry about the lack of recent posts. Well, I hope you all
had a great Christmas. I know I did because I spent a bunch of time
with my family, Bryan, and his family.....not to mention the beautiful
widescreen Dell Inspiron laptop that my parents gave me! Anyways, I
just wanted to wish you all a happy New Year. I am excited to see what
new experiences God will bless me with during 2006! I love you all, and

I hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving with their friends
and family. I know that even though I don't get to celebrate it with
everyone that I wanted to, today is going to be great! I am thankful
for so much, and God is the giver of all of it. One thing in particular
that I am thankful for is Bryan. As of yesterday, we have been dating 6 MONTHS!
I am so thankful for his patient, caring, and loving attitude towards
me and everybody else! I love you all, and enjoy your thanksgiving
break. Yay! No school!
Well, it has been a long time since I updated, so I
thought I would briefly tell what is happening in my life. Last Monday
night, Bryan's grandmother had a stroke which has left her unable to
use the right side of her body. As of now, it is looking as though she
will be moving in with Bryan's family once her therapy is complete.
Please pray that this be a smooth transition for all. Also, last
weekend was the SRC Youth Retreat at Whispering Pines which went really
well. The lodge was really nice and I am thinking this place may become
our new fall retreat spot which is just fine with me! On Sunday, I
picked up my new car!!! It is a red 2001 Ford Escape! However,
Monday morning, I could not get it to start! Long story short, the
people who sold me the car have fixed it and I didn't have to pay a
dime! Yesterday was the first day that I drove it to school! Yay!!!
Well, school is crazy as usual, but that will never change. I think
that is currently everything, so I am going to go get ready for
school now! Have a great week! Sorry it has been so long since I posted. I just haven't felt like it merited my immediate time or thoughts. Anyways, yesterday made 4 months that I have been dating Bryan! He wouldn't tell me what we were doing until we got into Nashville. Then he said that we were going to walk around in Centennial Park and go see the Parthenon. I was surprised and excited, but then he was driving away from Nashville! So he finally explained that he had lied to me, and we were really going to Hendersonville to the live DVD taping of Denver and the Mile High Orchestra! Oh my goodness! They are my favorite big band ever, and I love seeing them in concert! Between me and Nikki, we have all the cds! Anyways, I was really excited and surprised. We had soooo much fun! At the end of the night, I was thinking about how appropriate it was for us. D&MHO's songs are all worship songs in the form of big band music, so Bryan and I basically choose to go worship God for our 4 month celebration! It was so appropriate because as a couple, our main goal is to keep God first, and I believe we succeeded last night! Thanks honey! I love you so much! Everybody have a great day, and I hope to see you all at Praise In The Park tomorrow! Well, I guess I should update since it has been a long time. I am so excited that we are out of school tomorrow! I found out at 5:00 and I stopped doing homework, ate dinner, and went to Annie's house! We had fun just hanging out, drinking coffee (cafinated!!!), and watching Fresh Prince of Bellaire! So far, my plan for tomorrow is to get up like normal and do my homework and clean the house, then I hope to be able to go eat lunch with Bryan if the weather is not horrible. Some time tomorrow, I also have to get gas!!! Call me if you plan anything fun!!! Oh, and I hope to be able to go see my friend, Daniel, while he attempts to sell umbrellas to people on campus!!! It shall be fun! Have a great day!!
